Marisa Janine-Page is a member of Duckor Spradling Metzger & Wynne’s employment and business litigation practice groups. Marisa’s practice consists primarily of complex, business, and employment litigation with an emphasis on securities and class actions.

     Marisa has successfully represented her clients in a number of high-profile and complex cases, including cases involving securities fraud, oil and gas development fraud, unfair competition law, employment discrimination and government liability.

     Marisa received her Juris Doctor degree from Duke University School of Law in 1998, where she participated in the Business and Securities Law Association, Guardian Ad Litem Program, and the Prisoner Rights Project. She earned her undergraduate degree in the double majors of Legal Studies and Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley, where she graduated magna cum laude in 1995. Prior to college and pursuing her legal career, Marisa practiced for nine years in the financial investment industry where she was an accomplished fixed income securities trader.

     Marisa is the recipient of the 2008 Association of Birth Centers’ Professional Community Award for her years of pro bono services to Southern California’s only free-standing midwifery birthing center. Marisa also serves on the board of the non-profit organization, Women’s Health International. She is an active member of the State Bar of California and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, where she serves on the Board of Governors and as chair of its 2009 annual program. Marisa has also served as a guardian ad litem advocate for children in California and North Carolina.

Marisa has lived in the San Diego community for thirteen years with her husband and son. She is actively involved in her community, including California’s homeschooling network, Little League and AYSO. Marisa and her husband also proudly support their son’s participation in Jr. Crew; young motivational performers who promote by example “Living A Drug Free Life.”
